Angels in Our Town Appeal
Community - Gratitude - Resilience
They look after us, and we look after them
The SHCF is pleased to host the Angels In Our Town Appeal
Angels in Our Town's objective is to pursue the following charitable purpose(s):
To create public activations and engagements which, acknowledge and pay tribute on behalf of local communities. Thank you for supporting us in our mission to support the selfless work of first responders, volunteers and service organisations.
Our new initiatives include:
The Angels in Our Town Scholarship - we will send two First Responders or Volunteers to travel to an Overseas Conference so they can learn the latest thinking and best practise techniques for managing trauma, impact of weather events, and pandemics, and bring this knowledge back to the Southern Highlands.
'Kindling' - the working title of our new play for young people about overcoming adversity through kindness.
'Thank You' Parade and Family Concert - we will, of course, continue with our community favourite, the delightful and impactful 'Thank You' Parade and Family Concert, to celebrate our wonderful unsung and unseen heroes.

These special projects will be highlighted at our major fundraising event, The Winter Ball to be held on 21 June this year where we are seeking to raise additional funds to support these important initiatives.
